Elvis Music Owners, Eminem Publisher File Sprawling New Lawsuits Against AI Music Generator Suno

According to Variety, a group of Elvis Presley music rights holders, including Authentic Brands Group and Raleigh Music Publishing, alongside the publisher of Eminem's records, have filed sprawling federal lawsuits against the AI music generator Suno in the Northern District of California. The Presley plaintiffs allege that the platform violates Tennessee's 2024 ELVIS Act, which prohibits AI companies from cloning singers' voices without permission, by allowing users to generate tracks that mirror Presley's distinct vocal timbre. The lawsuit claims Suno is exploiting Presley's identity and copyright for unauthorized content generation.
