Masoud Pezeshkian: Iran’s economic problems have intensified

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a meeting with political party secretaries and activists, addressed the country's mounting economic challenges. Acknowledging the existing difficulties, he stated that declining oil revenues and obstacles in import routes have placed additional pressure on the government and the production sector. According to Pezeshkian, the necessity of using longer maritime routes for goods has led to an increase in final consumer prices. The president added that some production units have been damaged by current conditions, and the government is not only unable to collect taxes from them but must also provide financial support to maintain their operations and production. He concluded by characterizing these circumstances as part of an enemy plan to collapse Iran from within.
