Strait of Hormuz traffic plunges as Iran, US blockades restrict energy shipments

A report based on Automatic Identification System (AIS) data shows a significant decline in vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. The reduction follows restrictions imposed by Iran and the United States on energy shipments. According to the report, over a seven-day period, 89 vessels exited the strait while 103 entered. This waterway, considered one of the world's most vital energy chokepoints, is currently being impacted by ongoing tensions between Tehran and Washington.
